I’m confused. Are you trying to improve technology effectiveness and usage, or just survey the current use of it (who is using it and in what capacity; doing what with it)? Do you have staff developing or training on various usage of the technology you already have in place at your school? If so, maybe that could be your angle. After the implementation of staff development and/or training, research how effective the technology training was and if teachers and students are utilizing it effectively and/or what technology training is needed for teachers and students to be effective in our technological world.

DeleteIt sounds like your district has not started the Technology bandwagon. Good to see that you have the opportunity to show how it will impact their student's future. You will demonstrate first hand what is working and what is not working. I look forward to reading your next post!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your useful feedback.
DeleteWhat type of school do you work at? Elementary or secondary? To me, this seems like a survey geared towards getting depcific results that you want so you can present to the administration that you need more technology. Does that make sense??
ReplyDeleteMy suggesstion is to pick a type of technology that you have that isn't is really wide use. Then, build a research project around the implementation of that product. That way, you can specifically show how that has improved.
Looks like an excellent topic and I can't wait to see what you do with this!

I will consider your thoughts and thank you for your useful feedback.
DeleteLooks like you have thought everything out. I will just pass on some helpful tips that my site supervisor told me. She said that it is helpful to narrow your focus group down to smaller group. For example, just perform the research on one particular grade level or content area. She said that it is much easier to manage and the results are better and more dependable. Just a suggestion that I thought was helpful.
